To Elmo....or not to Elmo

well....it was the week of Thanksgiving and what better thing to give than a stomach bug!
and it was our first! Micah has never really been sick before ( unless you count the swimming pool and too much water).....and it was awful! He woke up Wed. morning at 530 ill...and again at 7 and at 8....we were supposed to go see Elmo at 4pm and mama help out hope all day that we could still go!
since he hadn't gotten sick since 8am Miguel said we could still go when micah went down for his nap.....but when micah got up....he changed his mind....micah looked so much worse! he was very clingy, and needy! so, miguel said that i could still take him...but he wasn't going with....because he didn't agree with taking a sick kid to Elmo! (being 9 months prego, I thought I better not go...we had nose bleed seats!) and come 5...you guessed it! he let 'er rip....it was the worst one too! all miguel could say was 'I told you' we would have been at elmo and covered in it! poor little guy...when he was all done lifted his head and asked me "mama, am I all done" all I could do was laugh my head off and sosay, I hope so, baby, I hope so....you see.... we were in transition when it started and so it all ended up on the floor...i was in shock!

well then i got sick....and they wanted to keep a close eye on because of the baby....so miguel and i spent our 6th anniversary in the hospital being rehydrated :) it was kind of nice..ii even got to take a nap!

and when we got home from the hospital...miguel got sick! so thanksgiving week was very exausting! and we are looking forward to christmas!

Iowa City Children's Museaum

We went to the ICCM in late october...and had a wonderful time! I thought when we went that we would spend hours, nay, all day there....in the end I think we were there for 3 hour and then went out into the mall and had lunch and headed for the car :-)

 The Grocery Store was Micah's Favorite Part...he loved being able to be in charge!

 this section was a little to advanced for him...but he enjoyed himself and papa helped him fly!

the train room.....full of trains, trains to touch, and not to touch......he was in love!
all in all we had a wonderful time...
though I got tired very quickly! and micah was in a coma before we ever left the parking lot!
Miguel would tell you it was time to go home because micah and I were both "melting"  :-)

2 + weeks

i cant believe that in just over two weeks.....we will be snuggling a new baby!  and i think part of the disbelief comes from not knowing if it will be a girl or boy.....it is so hard to wrap my head around it! and to think of the ways it is goiing to turn our world upside down......when micah was coming i was really at peace, this time i think i am so scared for micah and how it is going to put him into a tail spin.....the poor guy...he is in complete denial about the entire thing too. in the begining he would talk about the baby.....now any mention of it...ignore and deny! but all i can do is put it into the Lords hands and cling tight to miguel and know we are in this together :) its all we can do!
