sledding

this winter has been very disappointing...
i think it has only snowed 3 times....and
really only one good time....and that was
the time we went sledding! it snowed, and snowed
all day while i was at work....so, on my way home
i stopped and picked up a saucer!! and saturday morning
we tried it out!! micah has fallen in love with snow...
almost as much as me!! we only went down lorraine's hill
about 4 times before I couldn't feel my fingers...so
we headed back in the house, all the while micah cried
snow....snow....snowwwwww :-)

birthday bash

we had a wonderful and relaxing day for micah's second birthday!
we had a lazy morning, then headed to lunch at the pizza ranch
to meet grandma and grandpa...we enjoyed some wonderful food
and conversation! micah got a head start on us and had some
ice cream while we were there....then we headed home for some
birthday cake and ice cream, and then opened some presents...
he ended up having an elmo inspired birthday...and loved every
minute of it!

ps it was very sweet of miguel to wish me a happy birth - day too! awwwww

the big day......HE IS 2...T.W.O, count'em TWO

tomorrow is the big day, my baby turns two....and some might say that I should stop calling him 'my baby' (I can just hear jennifer now, 'stop codling him').....
well, you know what! he is my baby, and if I want to call him my baby...I will!
I am the baby, and am not ashamed of the name....I like it!

ok, so the plans for the day.....well, they are much more relaxed than last year!
we are going for lunch with mom and dad (we both have the day off work)
we haven't decided where....maybe Mario's (julie can begin drooling now)
.....we are just kind of winging it this year....but there are tons of
presents though....Elmo bubble bath, an Elmo/Bert & Ernie Counting Book, 2 plastic chairs for the patio, A MagnaDoodle, ABC magnets....Did you know that my baby knows all of the alphabet....when he really wants to pay attention and focus ....he knows all of the letters!! I can't believe it...and we have a color puzzle...he knows all of the colors too!! IT IS SOO CRAZY!!!

well, there will be pictures to come and an update of the day
there will be balloons (julie says it always looks like a big party if there are balloons involved!) and of course CHOCOLATE WEDDING CAKE!! so, look out!!
(ps we plan on julie making cakes for our parties from now on....just a courtesy notice)

tick, tick, tick

well, the time has come.....
Micah will officially be two on the 16th
I can't believe it! the time has just gone
so fast....
you, know, there are times when it's really
hard with micah, and there are times when it's
really easy....right now is really easy....
(except for putting his coat on and putting
him in his car seat...the screaming...)
but other than that...he is a JOY!
and I say that really .....cautiously .....
cus I know what comes next.... TWO...that
warms you up for THREE.....
so, we are enjoying the easy because we know
it's gonna get worse, much worse before it gets better.
but we know you are here on the ride with us....
